El principio de funcionamiento del filtro de aire comprimido:
Efecto de gravedad: cuando la velocidad del aire en el filtro es baja, la mayoría de las gotas de aceite con un diámetro de 20-50um se recogen mediante caída libre por gravedad antes de alcanzar la capa del filtro. Además, el flujo de aire continúa cayendo y acumulando a medida que fluye a través del filtro. Cuanto mayor sea la velocidad del aire, menor es su eficiencia.
Impactación inercial: en general, las partículas suspendidas con un diámetro mayor que 1um tienen un gran impulso. No siempre es consistente con la ruta de flujo de aire, por lo que golpeará inercialmente la capa de fibra. Cuanto mayor sea la velocidad del aire, mayor será la tasa de colisión.
Intercepción directa: partículas con un diámetro de 0.3-1um Move con el flujo de aire, y la mayoría de ellas serán interceptadas y separadas por la capa de fibra a 1/2 del elemento del filtro. Cuanto más pequeña sea la partícula, menor es la velocidad de intercepción.
Penetración: partículas con un diámetro de menos de 0.3um. Debido a que la masa es demasiado pequeña para tener la versatilidad de los líquidos, se mueven en un movimiento browniano irregular. Es inconsistente con la ruta de flujo de aire, y es precisamente debido a este movimiento que puede ser capturado por una capa de filtro más fina. Cuanto más pequeñas son las partículas. Cuanto más intenso es el movimiento browniano, mayores son las posibilidades de atraparlo.
